Story & Gameplay
Parallel Portals is mostly an action platformer with a hint of puzzle-solving. Each universe has its own set of physics, attacks and enemies. Harnessing these is the key to finding all the Core Crystals. Outside of going through portals, you can also create rifts to other universes using your phone to take advantage of abilities from other realities. By combining these, you can bend physics to your will!
Outside of Core Crystals, you can also collect red fragments and yellow tokens. Red fragments are scattered about and are dropped by enemies. Every 15 fragments you obtain increases your health, allowing you to take more hits. Similarly, there are 10 yellow tokens to find. They are tucked away in hard-to-reach places, and some require some reality-bending tricks to reach.
After an experiment gone wrong, you find yourself in the middle of a multiversal catastrophe. Portals to other parallel realities are appearing, and you need to stop them from tearing the world apart. The 8 Core Crystals from your machine have been scattered across different realities. Find them, and fix the universe!
