Project Phases is a top-down RPG with a unique, timeline-based battle system. Overcome your enemies with quick thinking and careful planning as you move from phase to phase in your timeline. The game is currently in development, with several dev-logs and update videos being made about its development. Please keep in mind that anything shown is subject to change.

Battles are based on a real-time timeline system. Every player and enemy in a battle have a timeline unique to them. Each timeline is split into three phases, attack (red), defend (blue) and wait (white). Each phase has unique characteristics and properties that you must consider in order to claim victory.

In the attack phase, you can select your actions for that turn. This can include attacking, using items, waiting etc. Each character has their own unique attacks. You can perform as many actions as you want, given you have enough Time and Points. Mastering the attack phase is the key to victory.

In the defend phase, you will take little to no damage from attacks. However, some attacks can do massive damage in the defend phase if you aren’t careful. Setting up your timeline so that you get damaged in the defend phase is key to staying ahead of the curve. Think ahead and know your options to minimize damage.

The wait phase is a resting phase for all characters. Everyone is vulnerable in this phase and will take full damage if attacked. Minimizing the amount of time you spend in the wait phase is an important step to victory, though it’s much easier said than done.
